Among all our trekking packages in the Everest region, the Everest panorama trek is the shortest and easiest one. We understand that not everyone can trek to Everest Base Camp, but that doesn't mean they don't want to explore the region. So, we created this 10-day short Everest trek that goes up to Tengboche village.

Our itinerary is not just a list of places you'll visit but a carefully curated journey that allows you to experience the adventure of the Everest region, stunning mountain vistas, and the unique culture of the Sherpa community. You will get to enjoy the famous Lukla flight and explore Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery, immersing yourself in the rich traditions of the Sherpas.

Spend nights in Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche village, Monjo, and Lukla. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and takes you deep into the region via rhododendron forests. You will cross many suspension bridges on the way and get to see the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park. The trekking route is dotted with small settlements and stupas.

You will see mountains like Everest (8,849 m/29,032 ft), Lhotse (8,516 m/27,940 ft), Nuptse (7,861 m/25,791 ft), Ama Dablam (6,812 m/22,349 ft), Thamserku (6,608 m/21,680 ft), Chamlang (7,319 m/7,319 ft), and many others during trekking. In Namche Bazaar, we have kept an acclimatization day, ensuring you are well-prepared for the altitude. So, you will be spending two nights here.

Hike to the Hotel Everest View from Namche Bazaar, where you will see the first clear view of Mount Everest. Likewise, you can also hike to Khumjung Monastery. The last settlement on the Everest panorama trekking route is Tengboche village. Here, you will explore the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region. Additionally, the mountain views of Everest and Ama Dablam are jaw-dropping from here.

As there is poor weather condition in Lukla we always recommend you to have 2 or 3 days extra in your trip. If you have tight schedule there may be problem if the flight is cancelled or delayed.
In case of flight delayed for more than 2 days, we will divert your trip to Annapurna Base camp trek, Mount Everest flight and Kathmandu to Pokhara flight for your benefit.
Also we advise you to reserve some extra budget for Helicopter charter flights in case you need to take you back.
If the flight is on time, we can still arrange you extra trip program as per your interest.

Please send your flight details of arrival at Kathmandu airport, passport photocopy attached by email and deposit 25% trip advance money in our bank account. Rest of the money can be submitted when you arrive in Kathmandu pay us before trekking departure.

Our team will pick you up at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel in a private vehicle. Upon reaching the hotel, check in and freshen up. The remaining day is free. You can visit the Garden of Dream, located at the entrance of Thamel, and explore its bustling streets.

We will spend this day in Kathmandu exploring some tourist sites and preparing for the trek. In the morning, join our friendly tour guide and visit historical sites such as Monkey Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhnath Stupa. Enjoy the tour, the bustle of local markets, and Nepali art and architecture.

After the morning tour, your guide will drop you back at the hotel for a few hours of rest. Later, we'll meet at our office for a comprehensive trek briefing and preparation session. Our team will handle all necessary permits, while you can use this time for any last-minute shopping and packing.

The trek starts today. Early in the morning, you will take a short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu or Ramechhap Airport. During the flight, get to see an aerial panorama of the Himalayas. It's a breathtaking sight that will leave you in awe.\

From Lukla, you will trek to Phakding village to spend the night. The trail gradually descends via lush forests and small settlements, crossing hanging bridges. The beauty of the route is simply stunning.

From Phakding, you will continue trekking to Namche Bazaar. Follow a scented pine and rhododendron forest along the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Cross several suspension bridges on the way, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge.

The views of Mt. Thamserku are fantastic on the way. Trekking via Benkar and Chumoa, you will reach Monjo. The trail enters the Sagarmatha National Park from here onwards. You will further follow a steep uphill route and ascend to Namche Bazaar.

We have a rest day in Namche Bazaar, so we will only go on a light hike early in the morning to catch a lovely sunrise and a beautiful view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse from Hotel Everest View. The hiking trail goes along a rough cliffside and offers a fantastic view of Mt. Thamserku on the way.

After the hike, we will return to the Namche Bazaar enroute, visiting the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery. These unique cultural experiences will give you a deeper understanding of the local Sherpa culture.

Later in the day, explore the bustling street market of Namche Bazaar and spend time with locals. The rest of the day offers an excellent opportunity to see the locals' daily lifestyle.

From Namche Bazaar, we will trek to the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region. Following the uneven hillside, the trail gradually ascends to Kyangjuma (3,550 m). We will trek on a downhill trail to Phungi Thanga (3,250 m). Crossing a suspension bridge, we will ascend to Tengboche village. The view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam is fantastic from this place.

Leaving Tengboche village, you will descend to Phungi Thanga. From here, trek to Kyangjuma and continue walking to Namche Bazaar. The trail then steeply descends through dense forests. Pass by small settlements on the way and cross suspension bridges.

You need two permits to do the Everest panorama trek. They are the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entrance permit & the Sagarmatha National Park entry permit. Both permits are included in our package cost.

The Best Time to do the Everest Panorama Trek:

The best time to do the Everest panorama trek is March to May and September to November. These are the pre- and post-monsoon times in Nepal when the weather in the Himalayas is stable for trekking. You will see breathtaking mountain panoramas because the sky remains clear.

The climate is warm during the daytime and cold at night and in the mornings. The lower part of the trail is bloomed with rhododendrons and other vegetation. Likewise, hundreds of avid trekkers visit the Everest region in these months, so the environment is quite joyful.

  • Everest panorama trek in winter (December to February)

Winter is one of the off-seasons for trekking in the Everest region. Because of unpredictable weather, the Lukla flight is frequently delayed and canceled. Likewise, it gets cold, and snow covers the trekking route. However, trekking up to Tengboche is very much doable in the winter season.

You only have to keep 1-2 contingency days in your itinerary in case the weather gets terrible and you have to miss your Lukla flight. The trails are empty, so you will enjoy the region's tranquility, and the prices of accommodations are also low.

  • Everest panorama trek in summer/monsoon (June to August)

Summer/monsoon is another off-season for Everest panorama trekking. The rainfall ruins the lower route. The trails are muddy and slippery. Likewise, the risk of landslides increases throughout the hills. You also have to deal with bugs and leeches.

On the other hand, the vegetation is thriving, and the lushness of the region is incredible. Fresh air, the soothing scent of nature, and gushing rivers and waterfalls make the scenery wonderful. You will also enjoy a tranquil trail and a low price on accommodation and other essentials.

Accommodation and Meals during the trek

The accommodation in the mountain is the lodge. Thanks to the commercialization of the EBC trail, both budget-friendly and luxury lodges are available. Our Everest panorama trek package includes a basic lodge, but you can upgrade the accommodation by paying additional money. You will get twin-shared rooms, so you are supposed to share the room with a fellow trekker. Single rooms are also available but cost extra money.

You will not have an issue getting Western-style toilets on the Everest panorama trek route. However, be open to using squat toilets. Services like charging, WiFi, and hot showers cost a few extra bucks. The last reliable ATM is available in Namche Bazaar, so have some Nepali currency on you for personal expenses.

Food is not a concern during the Everest panorama trek. You will be delighted by the wide range of food options available, from the classic dal bhat to woodfire pizza. Our Everest panorama trek package includes simple meals, but you are free to choose and buy whatever food you wish to have on your own.

Drinking water is readily available throughout the Everest panorama trek. You can get boiled water at a very cost-effective price of USD 1 to USD 2 per bottle, which is much cheaper than buying plastic water bottles. You can carry snacks for the journey. Travel insurance for the Everest panorama trek

For your safety, it's crucial to have travel insurance with helicopter evacuation and medical bill coverage when trekking in the Himalayas, including the Everest panorama trek. The Everest trail lacks roadways and hospitals, making helicopter evacuation necessary in case of serious illness or injury a necessity.

Apart from small medical care, you cannot receive any further assistance. If you get sick or injured during trekking and require extensive medical assistance, we must evacuate you in a helicopter to a hospital in Kathmandu.
