- The EBC trek begins with an early morning flight to Lukla, either from Kathmandu Airport or Ramechhap Airport. It is a short but beautiful flight with stunning Himalayan mountain views. From Lukla, we will begin trekking with porters and descend to Phakding for the night stay. The trail goes through forests and small villages, offering stunning views of mountains like Kongde Ri and Chamlang.
*Note: If you take a Lukla flight from Ramechhap Airport, you will leave the hotel in Kathmandu around 1:00 AM and dive to the Ramechhap airport in sharing bus. During the peak trekking seasons, the Lukla flights get shifted to Ramechhap Airport because of very high air traffic.
As there is poor weather condition in Lukla we always recommend you to have 2 or 3 days extra in your trip. If you have tight schedule there would be problem if the flight is cancelled or delayed.
In case of flight delayed for more than 2 days, we will divert your trip Annapurna Base camp trek, Mount Everest flight and Kathmandu to Pokhara flight for your benefit.
Also we advise you to reserve some extra budget for Helicopter charter flights in case you need to take you back.
If the flight is on time, we can still arrange you extra trip program as per your interest.

Trekking
Our trek will be in a very beautiful part of the Everest Region trekking Expect to trek about 5-7 hours daily or about 10-14 kms per day. It is recommended that you prepare for the trek by suitable training such as climbing hills or stairs, jogging, and spending some time in the gym to improve your stamina for a few months prior to the trek. If you are quite fit and do sufficient training prior to arriving in Nepal the trek will be enjoyable, and it is suitable for fit people in to their early 60’s. This trek is the most popular trek for those wishing to get wonderful views of the Himalayan peaks.
A Trek is not a Mountain Climbing Trip. There are still only a few roads in Nepal extending deeply into the hills, so the only way to truly visit remote regions of the kingdom is walking. It requires more time and effort, but the rewards are also greater. Whether you begin your trek at a road head or fly into a remote mountain airstrip, a large part of it will be in the Middle Hills region at elevations between 500 and 3000 meters. While trekking you will see the great diversity of Nepal. Villages embrace many ethnic groups and cultures. The terrain changes from tropical jungle to high-glaciated peaks in only 150 km.
Drinking Water on trek?
There are two good options for having proper drinking water during the trek. You can bring water purification tablets or fill your bottle for a nominal fee from the recognized and regulated “pure water” stations along the trek.
